Google Play Store 的 Bset Apps 榜单上混合着我们熟悉的，以及那些新兴的应用，包括 Twitter、人工神经网络输入法 SwiftKey、Instacart ，房地产搜索引擎 Trulia，以及免费的股票交易应用 Robinhood。同时，Google Play 也偏爱一些独立应用，比如 Nova Launcher、Action Launcher 3，以及幼儿游戏 My Very Hungry Caterpillar。
尽管 Google 有自家的 Google Docs，不过名额仍然给到了 Microsoft Word 和 Office Lens。另外，除了被 Amazon 收购的游戏流媒体应用 Twitch，Google 的 YouTube Gaming 也有入选。
在游戏应用板块，入选有字母拼图游戏 Alphabear、炉石传说 Heartstone Heroes of Warcraft、经营管理类游戏 Fallout Shelter，以及解谜游戏Prune、像素风格的过马路游戏 Crossy Road。
Google Play Store 在今年也比较关注娱乐内容，另外还有关于音乐、电影、书籍和电视节目的畅销榜单，以及围绕Google Play Nesstand 、Play Books 的最受用户喜欢集选。
具体Google Play Store的榜单如何生成目前并不了解，但看起来不像是人工策划，更像是基于编程来生成的。
